A tragic late-night incident in the heart of Delhi has left a family mourning after 36-year-old businessman Shivam Gupta succumbed to injuries sustained in an altercation. Gupta, an only child, was attacked by food delivery agents in Connaught Place following an argument.
Police sources indicate the dispute began over a request for water, quickly escalating to violence. Witnesses say Shivam was struck with a helmet, punched, and kicked by three delivery agents. A police call at 1.30 am reported him unconscious and bleeding on the ground, leading to his admission at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital.
Despite medical intervention, including surgery at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Gupta passed away on January 19. The police investigation, supported by CCTV footage and forensic evidence, has resulted in arrests, with further inquiries underway. The family demands justice for the loss of their sole supporter.
