A 20-year-old youth, Shivam, was fatally stabbed in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar following a quarrel late Monday night, police reported on Tuesday. Shivam succumbed to multiple stab wounds, prompting a police investigation into the tragic incident.
The altercation is believed to involve a minor, agitated by Shivam's alleged association with his sister. Acting on an emergency call, police discovered Shivam in a critical condition and rushed him to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A knife recovered at the crime scene is under forensic examination to piece together the events leading to his death.
Meanwhile, Shivam's family claims pressure from a woman and her daughter, who allegedly coerced him into marriage, which he repeatedly rejected. The family sought help through a local panchayat to amicably resolve the issue but to no avail. Police continue to search for the accused, who remains at large.
