Pakistan's security forces deployed drones and helicopters in a three-day operation to reclaim a southwestern town from separatist insurgents, police reported on Wednesday, as weekend violence claimed 58 lives.
The Baloch Liberation Army launched coordinated attacks Saturday, stalling the province as firefights killed 197 militants. 'It felt as if our house would explode,' recounted Robina Ali from Quetta.
The insurgents seized control of key infrastructures across Balochistan, killing security and civilians before forces regained the town of Nushki. Operations continue as BLA claims heavier casualties, with security intensified.
