A major cyber fraud operation was disrupted in Patna, Bihar, as police arrested 22 individuals, with 15 being women, in connection to the alleged scam. This significant bust was part of a series of coordinated raids at three locations: Lakhan Kutir, Ved Nagar, and Saubhagya Sharma Path, all within the Saguna Mor and Rupaspur areas.

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) tipped off law enforcement about illegal call centers engaging in cybercrimes targeting people through deceitful schemes. Upon investigation, officers seized 19 laptops, a desktop computer, 53 mobile phones, 12 ATM cards, and numerous documents tied to the fraudulent activities.

Authorities revealed that the culprits mainly targeted cyber cafe owners, luring them with promises of B2B services and the setup of Aadhaar centers. Despite these arrests, police continue efforts to apprehend other members involved in the 12-18 month-long operation.
