Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) in Assam's Dibrugarh district, a first-of-its-kind in the northeast.

The event featured a spectacular aerial show by the Indian Air Force, with fighter jets like the Sukhoi-30 MKI and Rafale performing precision take-offs and landings. In addition, helicopters executed special operations including medical evacuations.

The ELF, developed with the Indian Air Force at a cost of nearly Rs 100 crore, ensures emergency landing support for both military and civilian aircraft, marking significant progress in India's aviation capabilities.
