The Maharashtra Congress has come forward with severe allegations against a senior official in the office of FDA Minister Narhari Zirwal, following the arrest of a clerk at Mantralaya. Harshwardhan Sapkal, the state Congress chief, has claimed that the bribe-related arrest was orchestrated by higher powers within the department.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recently apprehended a clerk, identified as Rajendra Dherange, while he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 35,000. This incident has added fuel to the Congress's criticism of the ruling BJP in the state, questioning whether the alleged systemic corruption reaches into the office of Minister Zirwal.

Sapkal has publicly urged for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind these accusations. He speculated about the involvement of Zirwal's private secretary and insisted on the necessity for quick governmental action, while Zirwal himself has pledged to resign if any conclusive connection gets proven between him and the implicated individuals.
