A 17-year-old boy tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident involving a speeding pick-up van. The accident occurred on Friday evening as he was returning home on his motorcycle, according to police.
The victim, Lavkush, was a class 12 student from Ekhara village and the son of Amit Singh, a homeguard at the local police station. The collision happened near RN Degree College, resulting in fatal injuries that led to the boy's death on the spot, stated Barnahal SHO Anurudh Pratap Singh.
Law enforcement acted swiftly, seizing the vehicle involved and registering a case against the unknown driver. Lavkush's body has been sent for post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
