The explosion occurred when a guard named Nawab threw a burning matchstick into the pit, triggering a blaze. This misstep led to an immediate ignition, causing injuries to those nearby.
Superintendent of Police N P Singh confirmed the injuries and noted that the injured parties were swiftly taken to a local hospital for treatment. Nawab's condition is reported to be serious as medical professionals continue to monitor his recovery.
