Following the attack, the perpetrators fled the scene with bags containing his laptop, phone, and documents. Although a social media post attributed the crime to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, police investigations have not confirmed these claims.

During the investigation, authorities uncovered the involvement of multiple suspects, including the alleged mastermind Sanjay alias Tau.
