A significant drug bust occurred in Budgam district as police arrested a drug peddler and recovered a suspicious substance, believed to be charas.
Authorities apprehended the individual, identified as Rayees Ahmad Mir, during a checkpoint at Bathar crossing, near the Railway Footbridge in central Kashmir's Budgam.
The officers seized approximately 31.93 grams of the charas-like substance wrapped in corn husk from Mir. A legal case has been filed at the Budgam police station, and investigations are underway as police further probe into the incident.
