In an effort to strengthen law and order throughout Uttarakhand, the Director General of Police, Deepam Seth, announced an extensive verification drive on Sunday. The initiative aims to identify and deter anti-social elements across the state.
The drive will involve rigorous checks at multiple levels, including police stations and outposts. Individuals living in various residential accommodations and those working with e-commerce and home delivery services will be subject to verification. This initiative reflects a zero-tolerance policy towards crime, endorsed by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami following recent criminal incidents.
Advanced technological tools and national databases like NATGRID and CCTNS will be utilized to scrutinize suspicious activities. These efforts aim to protect vulnerable groups, such as women and senior citizens, reinforcing security measures across Uttarakhand.
