Seven people tragically lost their lives in a blaze at an unregistered firecracker factory in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, on Monday, officials reported.
The facility was ostensibly a garment factory but was illegally producing firecrackers, according to Additional District Magistrate, Sumitra Pareek. A timely police patrol discovered the incident, initiating rapid rescue operations.
Out of over 20 people in the premises, only some escaped as the fire erupted, leaving nine trapped and resulting in seven fatalities. This tragic event has prompted a thorough investigation demanded by local and state authorities.
