Restoration and Resilience: Kashmiri Pandits' Path Back to the Valley

Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the commitment of Prime Minister Modi to ensure the dignified return of the Kashmiri Pandit community. Highlighting past terror atrocities, he acknowledged efforts to restore the region's glory and highlighted measures to aid the displaced community's resettlement.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reiterated the Indian government's dedication to reinstating the Kashmiri Pandit community's place in the valley with dignity. Speaking at a book launch, Sinha underscored Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledge as essential to addressing past injustices.

Sinha condemned the region's terror ecosystem that has, for generations, tormented the local populace, including the Kashmiri Pandits, whose plight in the late 1980s continues to resonate. He pointed out the launch of a web portal aimed at reclaiming encroached properties of displaced Pandits.

Sinha encouraged the younger generation to commemorate the suffering endured, not just by the Pandits but also by Kashmiri Muslims. He noted the abolition of Article 370 in 2019 and the subsequent efforts to secure a future for the displaced, leaving hope for full cultural and physical reintegration.
