A five-year-old boy named Prateek, reportedly abducted from Sarai Kalan village in Prayagraj district, has been successfully located in Varanasi. The rescue operation, conducted by police, concluded after a day-long search.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Chandra Yadav confirmed that acting swiftly on the complaint filed by the family, police managed to trace Prateek to Varanasi, ensuring his safety late Sunday night.
In initial questioning, the young boy revealed that he was taken by his maternal uncle and another relative. Authorities have taken the suspects into custody and are investigating to determine the motive behind the abduction.
