Mystery Surrounds Oslo U.S. Embassy Blast
Norwegian police are investigating an explosion at the U.S. embassy in Oslo. Surveillance footage reveals a hooded suspect carrying a bag. While terrorism is one hypothesis, other motives are under consideration. The blast coincides with tensions involving Iran and a video linked to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Norwegian authorities are in pursuit of a suspect captured on security cameras following an explosion at the U.S. embassy in Oslo over the weekend.
The blast, which occurred early Sunday, damaged the entry to the consular area, sending dense smoke into the air. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Oslo police have confirmed that the device was an improvised explosive device (IED), leading to a significant explosion.
A video linked to the incident and tensions involving Iran are among the ongoing lines of inquiry in the investigation. Europe remains on high alert amid recent U.S. and Israeli actions in Iran.
