Kim Yo Jong Slams US-South Korea Military Drills, Warns of Unimaginable Consequences
Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korea's leader, criticized the US-South Korea military exercises, labeling them as aggressive war rehearsals that threaten regional stability. She highlighted the massive scale of the exercises, involving land, sea, air, outer space, and cyberspace, warning of potential severe consequences.
Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has strongly criticized the ongoing military drills conducted by the US and South Korea. According to state media KCNA, she described these exercises as 'provocative and aggressive', arguing they threaten the stability of the region.
The drills involve over 18,000 South Korean and US soldiers and are being carried out day and night in North Korean territory—land, sea, air, outer space, and cyberspace included. Kim warns of 'unimaginable' consequences due to this substantial show of military force.
While the US and South Korea assert the drills as defensive, aiming to enhance deterrence against North Korea's nuclear arsenal, Kim contends that such actions blur the line between defense and offense. The exercises coincide with recent international events, raising concerns over North Korea's nuclear strategy moving forward.
