Nadda Blasts Trinamool Congress Over West Bengal's Rule of Law Controversy

Nadda squarely held the state government accountable for chaos stemming from a special intensive revision of electoral rolls.

Responding in the Rajya Sabha, Nadda dismissed accusations from TMC leader Sukhendu Sekhar Ray about excessive measures against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Nadda argued that Banerjee's government showed no respect for the rule of law, hinting at a larger political discord undermining the state's governance.

Amid allegations, TMC's Ray insisted on investigating the central government's lack of response to Banerjee's five-day street protests. Meanwhile, substantial revisions in electoral rolls resulted in a significant decrease of over 60 lakh names, raising concerns about electoral fairness and representation.
