In a significant security operation, army troops successfully foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Tuesday. The operation resulted in the elimination of one terrorist during an encounter, according to officials.
Acting on crucial intelligence inputs, security forces identified the movement of two terrorists in the general area of Jhangar in the Nowshera sector around 3 PM. The White Knight Corps, responsible for the region's security, confirmed the swift response by alert troops, who engaged the infiltrators in a calculated action.
The encounter led to the death of a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist, ensuring the security of the border. A search operation has been launched to locate the second terrorist believed to be taking refuge in the area. Security forces have intensified their operational posture and enhanced surveillance to maintain control over the region.
