Army troops successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Tuesday, neutralizing one terrorist and seizing multiple weapons and grenades. This incident marks the second foiled infiltration bid in the region within a week.

According to officials, acting on intelligence information, security forces detected the movement of two terrorists in the Jhangar area of the Nowshera sector. The Army's White Knight Corps engaged the suspects at around 3 pm, preventing any breach of the LoC by swiftly eliminating a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist during an exchange of fire.

Following the encounter, a comprehensive search operation commenced to locate the second terrorist believed to be hiding nearby. The troops recovered an array of weapons, ammunition, and communication devices. Security measures have been intensified with integrated surveillance to ensure the LoC remains secure, and Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma lauded the troops' efforts.
