In a significant drug bust, Jharkhand Police have recovered 92 kg of ganja, with an estimated worth exceeding Rs 60 lakh, following a car accident in Latehar district. The incident occurred near Sikni, within the Chandwa police station limits, involving a collision between a car and an auto-rickshaw traveling from Palamu to Ranchi.

The Chandwa Officer-in-Charge, Ranjeet Kumar, confirmed the seizure of 92 kg of ganja, meticulously wrapped in 87 packets, from the vehicle. Police officials are actively conducting raids to apprehend the absconding driver and the car owner in connection with the illegal cargo.

The police have impounded the car involved in the accident, and further investigations are underway to uncover the extent of the drug trafficking network. Authorities are keen on bringing the perpetrators to justice.
