Jammu Leaders Unite Against Violent Attack on Farooq Abdullah

The Jammu High Court Bar Association and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry have strongly condemned the recent attack on National Conference president Farooq Abdullah. They emphasized that violence has no place in a democracy and urged the government to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
Despite the Z+ security accorded to Farooq Abdullah, the attacker was able to approach closely, raising serious questions about security lapses. The president of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arun Gupta, expressed his concerns over this security breach and called for measures to ensure the safety of leaders.
The legal fraternity has voiced alarm at the attack, highlighting that such violence threatens the very essence of democracy. High court bar association chief Nirmal Kotwal stressed the importance of peace in Jammu and Kashmir and urged the government to reinforce security measures to safeguard public representatives and citizens.
