The opposition in India's Rajya Sabha is urging an overdue debate on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of External Affairs, as per sources.
A letter signed by leaders of key opposition parties highlights the need for discussions, given the global situation and energy crisis, which have not been addressed for 16 years.
The letter, supported by approximately 100 MPs from various parties, reflects persistent demands for ministry scrutiny, especially during the current Budget session, which has ignored 29 ministries since 2010.
