K Kavitha, the Telangana Rakshana Sena founder, has proposed an overhaul of India's Rajya Sabha, advocating for it to emulate the United States Senate in power and structure.

During a media interaction on Saturday, Kavitha suggested that the Rajya Sabha should possess enhanced authority in determining legislation that impacts Indian states, similar to the legislative model in the United States. Her proposal includes implementing a fixed benchmark population for seat allocation under delimitation, ensuring all states are equitably represented despite changes in representation.

Kavitha criticized prior approaches to governance by former BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, emphasizing her critique was political rather than personal. She introduced 'Panchajanya,' focusing primarily on tackling Telangana-centric issues and addressing corruption, with vows to pursue free education and healthcare.
