In an intense clash in Bihar's East Champaran district, a gunfight claimed the lives of a Special Task Force (STF) personnel and two notorious gangsters, according to officials. The early morning confrontation unfolded in Chakia.
STF member Shriram Yadav and criminals Kundan Thakur and Priyanshu Kumar succumbed to gunshot wounds. Police were acting on intelligence that led them to the hideout. An exchange of gunfire ensued when the criminals resisted arrest.
In Patna's Pandarak locality, five criminals were arrested after another gun battle. Weapons and ammunition were confiscated in both incidents, with further investigations ongoing, authorities reported.
