In a significant operation conducted at Chandauli railway station in Uttar Pradesh, law enforcement arrested a man on charges of child trafficking. He was allegedly transporting six minors to Vadodara for forced labor, authorities reported. The children, thankfully, have been rescued and are now under safe custody.

The operation, carried out jointly by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction and the non-profit 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan,' disrupted the transportation of minors after their parents were deceptively promised financial incentives. Officials noted these children were intended for labor work at a solar plant.

The accused, identified as Dinesh Mandal from Godda, Jharkhand, promised the young victims a wage of Rs 18,000 per month for 12-hour workdays. Inspector-in-Charge Pradeep Rawat confirmed that a legal case has been registered against Mandal under Section 143 (Trafficking of person) at Mughalsarai police station.
