Major General Ajay Misra, the General Officer Commanding of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Sub Area, engaged in pivotal meetings with Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday to foster military-civil synergies. His visit emphasized the necessity of enhanced cooperation between the state and the Indian Army.
Conversations with Chief Minister Naidu highlighted the contributions of the Indian Army to national and regional development, focusing on sustained collaboration. Plans for a new Army headquarters in Amaravati and boosting troop presence in the Vijayawada-Guntur corridor were discussed, as outlined in an Eastern Naval Command press release.
Moreover, Major General Misra's discussions with Industries Minister TG Bharat and DGP Harish Kumar Gupta reflected a commitment to strengthening the defence industrial ecosystem and addressing welfare matters concerning ex-servicemen.
