The Lebanese health ministry confirmed earlier Israeli assaults killed six and wounded twenty-four. Additionally, fourteen more fatalities occurred in subsequent southern and eastern strikes.

The Israeli military stated its operations specifically target Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. This operation deepens Lebanon's involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts, triggered by Hezbollah's March 2 attack on Israel, intended as retaliation for Iran's supreme leader's death.
