Delhi Police have apprehended three individuals in connection with a staged firing incident aimed at extorting financiers and avoiding loan repayment in Paschim Vihar. The alleged mastermind, Tapan Dass, together with Sunny and Kamlesh, orchestrated the plot to appear as victims of foreign-based gangsters.
The incident was reported on March 15 after police found bullet marks on a restaurant gate and retrieved empty cartridges from the scene. An investigation ensued, leading to Sunny's arrest, who revealed the conspiracy's details. Tapan had intended to manipulate financiers by feigning gangster threats, thereby seeking sympathy and dominance.
With further leads, police arrested Kamlesh, the shooter, capturing a country-made pistol and other incriminating items. This case highlights an elaborate plan to mislead and pressure financiers, as investigations continue to uncover more details.
