The West Bengal government has issued a notification to enhance the ad hoc bonus for civic and village police volunteers to Rs 7,400 for the 2025-26 financial year. The revised amount marks a Rs 600 increase from the previous bonus of Rs 6,800.
Applicable to civic volunteers under the state and Kolkata Police, the bonus aligns with the government's announcement in February. The Finance Department stated that employees not under the Productivity Linked Bonus Scheme drawing a revised salary up to Rs 46,000 by March 31, 2026, are eligible.
The move aims to ensure management parity and acknowledge the contributions of these personnel, including contractual employees meeting certain conditions. Payment will adhere to the 2019 pay policy revision, excluding additional allowances.
