A Mapusa sessions court in Goa has granted bail to Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, proprietors of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, amidst ongoing legal trouble connected to a tragic fire from last December that claimed 25 lives.

Despite receiving bail in relation to the fire incident, the Luthra brothers will continue to be confined as they face charges in a separate alleged forgery case. The nightclub owners initially escaped to Thailand shortly after the blaze erupted on December 6, 2025.

Deported to India on December 17, they were promptly apprehended by Anjuna Police. Allegations persist that their nightclub operated without crucial permits and flouted multiple safety measures. Advocate Parag Rao confirmed that additional sessions judge Dvijple Patkar had sanctioned their bail.
