Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a consistent update of governance methods to elevate citizens' living conditions. In a video address marking the inauguration of 'Sadhana Saptah,' Modi highlighted that contemporary governance should revolve around the principle of 'Nagrik Devo Bhava,' or treating citizens as highest priority.
Stressing that ease and quality of life should be the touchstone for governance effectiveness, he urged public servants to cultivate daily learning and make decisions rooted in duty. He pointed out that India's rapid advancement demands an overhaul in administration, aiming for a more citizen-focused approach.
Modi linked the necessity for rapid economic growth, technology adoption, and a robust workforce to fulfill the vision of a developed India. He praised the Capacity Building Commission for its role in civil service reform, emphasizing technology's key role in enhancing public service and fostering institutional change.
