The Enforcement Directorate (ED) intensified its probe into a coal smuggling case in West Bengal by conducting fresh searches at premises linked to the political consultancy firm I-PAC.
Multiple cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi witnessed raids on Thursday, focusing on executives such as co-founder Rishi Raj Singh. Earlier raids also targeted I-PAC's Kolkata office and director Pratik Jain's residence.
With the ED serving summons to Singh and Jain, both have moved the Delhi High Court, arguing their election commitments in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu as grounds for quashing the notices.
