Cracking Down on Drug Proceeds: House Seized in Pulwama

A house in Pulwama, valued at Rs 30 lakhs, was seized under the NDPS Act amidst efforts to dismantle drug trafficking financial networks. Owned by Athar Maqbool, the property was linked to narcotics trafficking proceeds, prompting action under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

In a significant move against narcotics trafficking, police in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir have attached a residential property worth approximately Rs 30 lakhs.

The action is part of an intensified campaign to dismantle the financial networks associated with the drug trade. The seized property is located in Waghama and belongs to Athar Maqbool, who is reported to have acquired it through proceeds from narcotics trafficking.

The property was attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, with Maqbool involved in a case registered at Police Station Litter under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act.
