In a shocking turn of events, the wife of a BSF jawan, found dead with a gunshot wound at his Meerut residence, has been arrested alongside four others for his murder, including her alleged lover.

Nain Singh, a BSF jawan, was discovered dead at his Dhanpur village home on March 28. He had returned from his post in West Bengal on March 6. Initially, neighbors were named in the complaint filed by the jawan's father, but lacking eyewitnesses, police relied on technical and forensic evidence to advance with the investigations.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey, five individuals, including the jawan's wife Komal, have confessed to the murder. It was uncovered that Singh's taunts and humiliation towards Komal over her alleged affair with local, Gulshan, led to the premeditated killing. The accused have been identified, and police recovered an illegal pistol. A Rs 25,000 reward has been given to the police team for solving the case.
