A domestic conflict in Jaipur's Swami Ka Bas village escalated tragically when a man allegedly killed his wife and attempted suicide, police reported on Saturday. The incident, which unfolded late Friday night, has left the community reeling in shock.
According to Station House Officer Manoharlal, the accused, named Ramavatar, was embroiled in a heated argument with his wife, Sunita. The situation turned fatal when Ramavatar allegedly attacked Sunita with a knife, resulting in her death, before attempting to take his own life.
The case surfaced Saturday morning when the couple was discovered by family members. Authorities were promptly alerted, leading to the transfer of Sunita's body and the injured Ramavatar to a nearby hospital. While the accused receives medical treatment, police continue their investigation under the guidance of a complaint lodged by the victim's brother.
