Anjali Damania, a prominent activist, has urged a thorough investigation into Rupali Chakankar's alleged connections with Ashok Kharat, a self-proclaimed godman accused in several criminal cases.
Addressing the media, Damania revealed evidence suggesting significant communication between Chakankar and Kharat, including 177 calls. These details, she argues, necessitate Chakankar's questioning by investigators.
Despite these revelations, authorities have yet to summon Chakankar. The investigation, overseen by a Special Investigation Team, seeks to unravel the network around Kharat, now in custody for multiple allegations, including sexual assault and financial fraud.
