Women's Quota Bill: A New Era of Empowerment

The bill aims to increase women's representation in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies to 33%, a significant rise from the existing quotas.

Hema Malini, also a well-known actor, highlighted the importance of societal change alongside legislative amendments to achieve true respect for women. Introduced as the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, this legislation signifies a monumental step in strengthening women's voices in governance. Alongside, the Lok Sabha also saw the introduction of the Delimitation Bill and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill to implement the changes in Delhi, Puducherry, and Jammu and Kashmir.
