In an alarming incident in Odisha's Jajpur district, tehsildar-cum-executive magistrate Prashant Kumar Panda was reportedly attacked by miscreants during a raid on illegal soil mining.
The raid, conducted near Minabazar Chhak, turned violent when the alleged offenders drove a tractor into Panda, seriously injuring him.
Authorities seized two tractors and a JCB from the site as police launched an inquiry while the injured officer received advanced medical care in Cuttack.
