In a shocking incident in Nandgad village, Khanapur taluk, a domestic dispute over clothing choices turned tragic on Tuesday night.

Krishna Patil, 34, allegedly set his wife, Manjula Patil, ablaze after objecting to her wearing a nightdress. The altercation intensified, leading to the horrific attack where kerosene was used to ignite her.

Manjula, who suffered 80% burns, was initially treated at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences but later transferred to a hospital in Goa due to the severity of her injuries. Police have arrested Krishna Patil, and further investigations are ongoing.
