Seamless Execution: Tamil Assembly Elections Show Integrity

The Election Commission confirmed no re-polls in the Tamil Assembly election held on April 23. The process, involving 75,064 polling stations and 4,023 candidates, was thoroughly videographed. EVMs and VVPATs have been securely stored, with strict security and surveillance in place, reflecting meticulous election conduct.

The Election Commission has declared that no re-polling is necessary for the recent Tamil Assembly elections. The electoral exercise, conducted at 75,064 polling stations with 4,023 contenders, proceeded without any major issues.

The Commission ensured transparency by videographing the entire voting process. Post-election, officials resealed vital documents such as forms 17A. Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) have been secured in sealed strong rooms.

For added security, a double-lock system and 24/7 CCTV coverage have been implemented around these strong rooms. Revenue officials have been tasked with bi-daily checks, alongside the routine inspections by Election Commission personnel every three days, maintaining uncompromised electoral security.
