A birthday celebration took a tragic turn in Bulandshahr when a quarrel over cake smearing escalated into a triple murder on Saturday night. The incident occurred at a local gym where friends and family gathered for the celebration of gym trainer Jeetu’s birthday.
Following the altercation which resulted in the deaths of Amardeep, Manish, and Akash—all from the same family—the police launched a swift investigation. They arrested three individuals, namely Rupesh, Mayank, and Naresh. During interrogation, Mayank disclosed that an illegal firearm was concealed under a flyover.
As police moved Mayank to recover the weapon on Monday, he attempted an escape and opened fire at the officers. The police retaliated, leading to Mayank sustaining a leg injury. After securing the suspect, authorities retrieved a .315 bore country-made pistol. The investigation remains ongoing.
