Senior IPS officer C V Anand was appointed as the DGP of Telangana on Tuesday. Anand, a 1991-batch IPS officer, currently serves as special chief secretary to the government, home department. ''C V Anand, special chief secretary to the government, home department, is transferred and, on selection, is posted as Director General of Police (Head of Police Force), Telangana, Hyderabad, in the Apex Scale of Rs 2,25,000 (fixed),'' an official order said. The incumbent DGP B Shivadhar Reddy will retire at the end of this month.
