Chinese defence minister urges deeper defence, security cooperation at SCO meeting
China's Defence Minister Dong Jun attended on Tuesday a meeting in Kyrgyzstan of defence ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's (SCO) member states, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. * Dong held talks with defence officials from countries including Iran, Russia, Pakistan, and Belarus on the sidelines of the meeting, Xinhua said. * The 10 current members of SCO are Belarus, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, its website shows.
