Chinese defence minister urges deeper defence, security cooperation at SCO meeting

China's ​Defence Minister Dong Jun ​attended on ‌Tuesday a ​meeting in Kyrgyzstan of defence ministers from the Shanghai ‌Cooperation Organisation's (SCO) member states, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. * Dong held ⁠talks with defence officials from countries including Iran, Russia, ⁠Pakistan, ​and Belarus on the sidelines of the meeting, Xinhua said. * The 10 ⁠current members of SCO are Belarus, China, India, Iran, ⁠Kazakhstan, ⁠Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, its website shows.
