RBI approves extension of Subrat Mohanty as ED of Axis Bank

Axis Bank on Wednesday said the Reserve Bank has approved the extension of tenure of Subrat Mohanty as executive director ED of the private sector lender for three years. The board, on January 27, 2026, approved the re-appointment of Subrat Mohanty as the Whole-Time Director designated as ED for a further period of three years, Axis Bank said in a regulatory filing.

Axis Bank on Wednesday said the Reserve Bank has approved the extension of tenure of Subrat Mohanty as executive director (ED) of the private sector lender for three years. The board, on January 27, 2026, approved the re-appointment of Subrat Mohanty as the Whole-Time Director (designated as ED ) for a further period of three years, Axis Bank said in a regulatory filing. His extended three-year term would be effective from August 17, 2026, up to August 16, 2029 (both days inclusive), it said. The Reserve Bank of India, in a letter dated April 29, 2026, has approved the re-appointment, it added.
