Telangana Appoints Reddy as State Security Advisor Post-Retirement
The Telangana government has appointed B Shivadhar Reddy, a former DGP, as state security advisor after his retirement. He will advise on policing and security for three years. Additionally, senior IPS officer C V Anand will become the new Director General of Police, taking charge on May 1.

The Telangana government has appointed B Shivadhar Reddy as the state security advisor following his retirement. Reddy, who was previously the Director General of Police (DGP), will counsel the government on issues concerning policing, internal security, and crime control.
According to a government order dated April 29, Reddy will hold the rank of chief secretary and serve in this advisory role for a period of three years from when he assumes charge. The announcement was released to the media earlier in the day.
In a related development, senior IPS officer C V Anand has been named the new Director General of Police. He is set to take over the position on May 1, which marks a significant reshuffle in the state's law enforcement leadership.
