Coastal Cleanup: Demolishing Illegal Structures in Devbhumi Dwarka
The Devbhumi Dwarka district in Gujarat has seen a demolition drive clearing illegal structures along the coastline. Approximately 2,400 square meters of land, worth Rs 2.27 crore, were freed for national security reasons. This included unauthorized religious structures and one near defense land in Okha.

In a significant move for national security, the Devbhumi Dwarka administration in Gujarat has launched a demolition operation targeting illegal structures near the coastline.
The initiative successfully cleared approximately 2,400 square meters of government land, estimated at Rs 2.27 crore in value, said sub-divisional magistrate Amol Awate.
Structures were removed following Supreme Court guidelines, addressing unauthorized religious sites and encroachments, including one near defense land in Okha.
