An altercation erupted in north Mumbai's Samata Nagar as a police constable allegedly assaulted a tempo driver over a traffic fine. The incident unfolded on Saturday at Sambhaji Chowk, where Constable Vikas Pol was on duty.
Tempo driver Vishwanath Singh approached Pol for clarification regarding a traffic violation fine. Despite receiving an explanation, Singh persisted in arguing and reportedly abused Pol.
The escalating argument resulted in Pol allegedly assaulting Singh. The Samata Nagar police station has confirmed that a case is being registered concerning the incident.
