Massive Arms Cache Uncovered in Jharkhand's Anti-Naxal Operation

Security forces in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district have made a crucial recovery of arms, ammunition, and explosives during an anti-Naxal operation. The operation, executed in the Tonto–Goilkera region, was a joint effort led by the COBRA 209 battalion and CRPF units, local authorities confirmed.
West Singhbhum SP Amit Renu stated that the recovered materials included an SLR rifle, a carbine, numerous magazines and cartridges, gelatin, detonators, and other explosive components. Following a recent encounter with a Maoist squad led by Ajay Mahato, who was neutralized, the security forces intensified their searches, uncovering hidden weaponry in the forested area.
The combing operation continues as authorities strive to ensure no residual threats remain. This discovery marks a significant success in the ongoing efforts to curb Maoist activity in the region, providing a boost to security forces and heightened vigilance in the area.
