Allegations of negligence regarding tuberculosis (TB) infection, poor quality food, and financial irregularities have emerged at a government nursing college in Rampur, Shimla district. Parents of students have demanded an impartial inquiry and the removal of the principal.
An inquiry by Rampur Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM) Harsh Amrendra Singh revealed numerous deficiencies, including a lack of proper meals and unsanitary conditions. The probe uncovered financial mismanagement and called for transparency in operations. Allegations include large sums collected without proper records and misuse of funds.
Authorities, including Medical Superintendent Roshan Lal Kaundal, are implementing improvements. Despite the acting principal alleging conspiracy, local leaders are pushing for an FIR and high-level investigation to resolve these grave concerns.
