Justice in Gauriganj: Swift Action in Local Rape Case

Two men have been apprehended in Gauriganj on charges of raping a woman from their village, according to local police officials. The crime occurred on Saturday under the Gauriganj police station's jurisdiction.

Authorities report that one of the assailants was previously acquainted with the victim. The attack happened in a village field where the men allegedly took turns assaulting the woman. During the ordeal, they threatened to harm her family members if she resisted.

The victim's family lodged a formal complaint the following morning, prompting swift police action. An FIR was filed under applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and by Monday morning, both accused individuals were in custody, according to Inspector Arun Mishra. The victim has undergone a medical examination, while the accused are set to appear in court.
